Bottle at home with Lyoli. Pours a slightly cloudy, yellow-gold with a small, white head. Grassy, earthy hops on the nose, mild toast. Medium sweet flavor, fresh grass, light pine, a little dirt. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Mild sticky finish, some toasty malts, hints of white sugar and honey, subtly oily, more grass and light citrus rind. Exceedingly drinkable. madmitch76 (26467) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2011

Hazy orange amber beer with a small white head. Semi crisp palate. Carbonation is fine (as in fine bubbles) and moderate. Minerally fresh orange with a bitter edge that keeps going to the crisp finish. The bitterness is a little pithy. Some creamy malt underneath. As usual with Kernel - this beer just slipped away!
On tap at Kernel brewery. Hazy orange gold. Lasting white head. Citrus tangerine aroma with some bizarre brazil nut flavour on the swallow. Tasty beer. Quite citrusy touch of ascetic. DanielBrown (4567) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 5, 2012
Bottle from Euston Tap, via Gurd. I poured with a bit of sediment, so it was luminous yellow. Great smell - hoppy lemon and clean bathroom. Taste has its moments, but is a little bit dead. Fresh balanced hops up to a point, but washed in some paper and tepid mineral water. Fresh and nice, but perhaps the least good Kernel so far. Mt Hood may not be a top hop. On tap at The Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London 04.06.11 Pours orange/amber. Good fruity tang, bit of soapy hoppiness, soft in the mouth, there is a little piney resin. Bitterness lingers on the roof of my mouth. Very nice beer. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle at yespr.
Hazy amber coloured with a medium sized white head.
Fruity aroma of hops, citrus peel and pine needles.
Fruity flavour of hops, citrus peel and soap.
Hoppy finish. Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2011
Keg at the Kernel Brewery. It pours hazy orange amber, with a fizzy white head. The nose is quite subtle - tangy orange and pine. The taste is tangy orange, resin, biscuit and pine, with a long bitter finish. This is another quality beer from Kernel, but I found the Mt Hood hop quite boring when used in isolation like this. 500ml bottle, 5.1% abv, at The Rake, Borough Market. Low, bubbly layer at the top of a cloudy orange coloured body. Sediments to the last pour. Smell of fresh and dry fruity hops. Honeyed fruity taste added by apricot, pine and notes of orange, as well. Bitter ending, half-sharp. Medium bodied. Pleasant first beer on a long drinking Saturday in London, 30.07.2011.
