Hops, white fruits, tropical notes. Dark golden color. Hoppy taste with some caramel. Not dry and not bitter enough, but still quite OK.

500ml Bottle - Hazy amber in colour. Grapefruit and hints of passionfruit in the aroma. Fruity taste with peach, grapefruit, lychees and kiwi. The taste is better than the aroma.

JohnRMurdoch (5098) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUL 2, 2017
500ml bottle from Beer Ritz. Cloudy amber brown, reasonable head. Mango hop aroma. Apricot hop flavour. Quite smooth. Bitter sweet aftertaste. Decent but not outstanding Kernel pale ale.

Garrold (5695) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 26, 2017
Bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Hazy, pale amber colour. Beauty of a Kernel head. Nose has plenty of stone fruit. Lost in the fruit bowl, white grape. Ripe mandarin. Some toffee malts. Why do some Kernel beers no longer smell like Kernel beers? Did they alter the yeast strain? It used to be so distinct, and now doesn’t seem the case? Anyway. Taste is quite sweet, with some stone fruit and earthy bitterness. Decent mouthfeel. Soft and foamy. Some sweetness to finish, with minimal, stone fruit bitterness.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear orange-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Nice aroma, some floral hops, pine, citrus peel. Light-medium sweet flavour, with subtle toasted bread, semi-ripe citrus fruits, orange, modest piney bitterness, nips of grass. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with just a lick of resin, plenty of pine, dried pale malts, orange peel, a little peach and mango. Great beer overall.

Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Hazy amber colour lasting white head. Tropical fruit hoppy. A beautiful pale ale. Light and agile intense fruit flavours. Citrus zest. Kernel pale ales are unlike anything else i have had. Superb. Just so fruity so easy drinking. Just a sheer delight.

6th May 2017
Hazy deep gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, smooth but thin creamy sweetness. Bitterish hop skunk that doesn’t dominate. Piney tropical fruits. Some bitter citric peel. Some pith and lemon. Quite a spicy bitter finish and those attributes linger one. Robust PA from Kernel.

Scopey (15885) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2017
Bottle picked up Kernel. It pours hazy orange - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, apricot, peach, orange sherbet, brioche and marmalade. The taste is soft bitterness, apricot, peachy, pine, straw, zesty peel, bread, marmalade, grass and weed with a dry, zesty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff. Juicy.
