3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the brewery. Pale amber, with a bubbly, but lasting, white head. Aroma is peachy, slightly sulphurous and herbal (bay leaf). Tastes sweet, then dry, then sweet again. Complex stuff.
The beer starts intense fresh and smooth. Nice floral hop aroma, hints of citrus, lots of pine, fresh green hops. The mainpart is quite piney-sticky, intense floral with a mild and slightly sweetish malty body, that remains nearly completely in the background to present the hops at it best. The aftertaste is slightly sweetish, fresh bitter, piney-sticky with intense, fresh grassy hops present! Great stuff! bierkoning (13355) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2014
Bottle was sold 5 months past best before date. Orange blonde. Still a good lemon and pineapple aroma with grassy notes. Firm hopbitter flavor. Fruity, just a bit thin. Has kept its freshness well. The Etruscan (685) - Tuscany, ITALY - FEB 1, 2014
White creamy head. Cloudy light amber colour. Aroma is malty, fruity (pineapple, mango) and citrusy notes. Flavor is malty too with fruity (papaya, mango, peach, tangerine) and light spicy and herbal tones, ending in an initially fruity (orange) then bitter finish. Light bodied. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 29, 2014
Bottle, thanks to Colin. Somewhat hazy golden beer with a nice offwhite head. Hoppy earthy aroma, citrus, pine, woody, cereal notes, hay, herbal notes, some grass. Hoppy pine flavor, grassy, earthy, hay, grapefruit notes, floral, herbal, some caramel. Really nice hoppy APA with a interesting hopmix making the beer complex and tasty. Mooie oranjegele kleur met een aardige kraag. Ruikt fris, fruitig, hop, caramel. Lekker bittere smaak, fruitig, hop, maar ook fris.

Bottled at 5.3% on 02/09/13. Cold at a BYOB. Yellow/orange hazy, small white head, lightly sparkling, dense lacing. Smell - orange zest and caramel. Body is medium, carbonation fairly low. Taste - toned down citrus fruits, slight flowers / chlorophyll, decent level of bitterness. Refreshing and highly quaffable. Flavour isn’t particularly inspiring but marks for appearance and aroma. UPDATED: JAN 20, 2014 Bottle from saveur-biere.com. Golden to orange hazy body with a nice, creamy, stable, white head, that leaves some lacing. Beautiful tropical aroma of litchi, mango, pineapple, pine, grapefruit, also grass and some bready malt notes. Taste has more citric notes and also pine, grass, bread and some sugar. The mouthfeel is medium, with a medium bitter and citric finish. Great pale ale! Wonderful tropical fruit nose and greatly balanced fruity and malty taste. Nice fresh citrus aroma. A big zesty, grapefruit, hoppy, citrus fruit slap in the face with a caramel sweetness coming through near the end.
