Solid APA. harrisoni (19559) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2011
50cl bottle from the brewery. Hazy paleish orange gold with lasting thin white head. Lime jelly on the aroma. Touch of tangerine. Touch of woody earthyness. Cascades are earthy and so is this but light earthyness. Robertson’s lime jelly on the flavour too. Some bitterness on the finish. OK, so not a big in your face beer and I have a feeling people may rate this not as high as others, but there are some subtle high notes on this that are really quite attractive. Almost ethereal. Different and interestingly drinkable and that lime edge is really quite attractive. Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2011
Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours cloudy light orange, with a massive yellow-white head and suspended particles. The nose is yeast, orange pith, salt, lemon Cif, pine, leather and sweaty sock. The taste is pine, yeast, light spice, orange pith, leather, bread and pepper, with a dry finish. Medium body, creamy mouth-feel and lively carbonation. Decent, but not the most exciting of Kernel Pale Ales. Stuu666 (15301) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 12, 2015

Bottle at the Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London, 03.12.11 Pours very milky colour almost looks like banana juice or a banana milkshake, however the unusual looks are nothing to be concerned about as it tastes and smells very good. Tangy and fruity with some orange showing and as Ian suggests it has a dirtiness about it which is appealing.Tropical aromas on the nose complete the picture. 500 ml bottle shipped by cgarvieuk and shared by bsuedekum- thanks, guys! Best by 03 August 2012. Pours a cloudy, bright yellow-orange color with a finger of eggshell white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, sweet and bready malts, crackers, and some tropical fruits, although all the fruit in it may be fading a bit. Flavor of citrus peel, dry grains, grass, pineapple, and a mineral note. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp, dry mouthfeel that is fruity throughout. Nice APA; I’m interested to try the hundred other APAs and IPAs from The Kernel. pivnizub (10912) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 10, 2012
Bottle: Hazy, golden with an orangey sheen, loose but lacy white stable head, first piney, later citrussy hoppy nose, yeast and pale malt underneath; almost medium bodied, quite silky, moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour; lingering piney and fruity finish, quite slim. Just another good Kernel............. MoritzF (10199) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - APR 30, 2012
(bottle) Hazy to cloudy, orange-golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Piney and resiny hoppy aroma with mildly fruity and slightly exotic accents.
