Bottle from Kernel Brewery. Colour is surprisingly clear, orange amber, decent white head. Nose is passion fruit and strong bitter citrous grapefruit, lime, and some pine. Taste is hop bitter, citric bitter on tongue, some harsh grapefruit and pine. Not much in the way of softer fruit tones. Weirldy this went completely cloudy about two minutes after pouring and the bottle went crazy suddenly pumping out loads of foamy bubbles a couple of minutes later. There’s a nice citrous and passion fruit tang right at the end though. fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - FEB 5, 2012

Draught @ The Kernel Brewery, 98 Druid Street, London, Greater London, England SE1 2HQ.
Murky matt orange colour with a average, frothy and oepn, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, grapefruit, mandarin. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, soft and smooth in flavor. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle from The Bottle Shop. Hazy orange gold with thick lasting beige head. Earthy tropical fruit aroma. Yes some biscuit bit earthy and the tropical fruit is quite dirty. Its tasty enough. Reminds me of a similar one that I said I wasnt so keen on. But when I mean not so keen I mean this is still a damn fine apa and better than a lot of beers I drink. Its just that this isnt my favourite of the Kernel beers. Decent though. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 21, 2012
Bottle @ The Kernel. Orange yellow color with the standard excellent Kernel head. The aroma’s more subtle, somewhat earthy, some pine wood, light orange. The taste is a bit peppery, floral. Lighter bitterness. A bit shaggy. Palate is medium, a bit slick. Overall, a nice beer. But it just feels a bit too muted for me. Scopey (14708) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2012
Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours light orange, with a thin white head. The nose is pine, spice, lemon pith, tangerine and farmyard. The taste is spice, lemon pith, tangerine, grapefruit and pine, with a dry-citric finish. Nice as mostly all Kernel beers are, but doesn’t stand out from the crowd.

Bottle at brewery. Rich tropical fruit nose. Hint of herbs, pepper also. Juicy rich tropical fruits, tempered by the motueka and pacific jade herbal notes. Soft dry finish. Lovely. Fin (10538) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2012
Bottle at Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London, 07.01.12 Pours hazy orange/amber with large white head. I found this just a little thin at first but maybe it was cold, I was cold and it needed a few minutes to start to show itself. A buzzy bitterness started to come through, I do love that soft then prickly carbonation from Kernel beers that then start to buzz around your mouth with citrus, pine or wahetever you get from the hops really assaulting the tastebuds. In fact I get plenty of citrus from this beer, its actually getting better the more I sip, its a grower and a decent beer all told. Very hazy amber orange beer. Good cream colured head. Palate is slightly soft and quite dry. Floralish hops with some grape well buried underneath. Mildly bitter orange - grapefruit in the mid. Creamy malt backbone. Trace of pine before the dry finish. Mildly bitter aftertaste.
On tap at the brewery, London. Pours very (even for Kernel, this was VERY) cloudy, with a small, filmy white head. Light toasted straw in the nose, some orange citrus. Lightly sweet flavor, some woody malts, further citrus. Light bodied with fine, tingly carbonation. It’s interesting to have Kernel on keg as the mouthfeel is quite different from the bottles. Dry finish, some toasty sugars, wood, short and light piney bitterness. Yeah, dry and refreshing.
