Hazy orange - amber beer, tiny white head. Dry palate, semi crisp. Mildly bitter and pithy tangerine. Trace of orange in the background. Dry finish. A refreshing and tasty pale ale.
Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours a just barely foggy gold with a small, foamy white head. Has a luscious pine aroma with underlayed grapefruit and crispy malts. Medium sweet with considerable resinous bitterness, earth and dirt and grass, heavily toasted malts. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Zingy hops on the finish, more dirty earth, grass and pine, very modest sweetness. Good beer. harrisoni (18577) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2011
500ml bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras Station. I have mentioned before the restorative powers of The Kernels beers and this is another example. Its mid evening and ive been working like a dog on a number of projects. I sit down for my first beer of the day and pull out this little gem. Hazy orange gold colour with thin ivory foam. Aromas of wonderful tropical fruits. Its like smelling Um Bongo but in a totally wonderful way. Flavour has a little biscuit and then more mango guava and passionfruit on finish. Slight refreshing bitterness. I am happy. And you cant ask for more from a beer.
