[500ml bottle, courtesy of cgarvieuk] Clear gold pour, big sediment wad in the bottle as with all Kernels. Thin lacing around the edges of the glass. Grapefruit and orange on the nose. Classic Kernel flavour. Yeasty. Citrus. Grapefruit. Refreshing – very moreish. Another great pale ale from Kernel. Benjii (3050) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 20, 2011

Bottle from Kris Wines. Pours unclear amber orange without much head. Aroma has fresh flowers, hop pellets, fresh peach, sweet oranges, smells a bit organic/mineral, rather rural and hayish. Not what I expected from the Riwaka. Taste is balanced and hoppy. Still the peach, pineapple and orange fruitiness, but the rural qualities still comes through, yeasty qualities being a bit dry and tasting a bit like baker’s yeast. The body is surprisingly thin and it’s really easily drinkable. RasmusOtt (2874) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 29, 2011

Hazy orange - amber beer, good white head. Light tangerine - orange nose. Light palate, a little airy and with a light touch of dryness. Good fresh hops. Tangerine marmalade with a little Satsuma. Mild grapefruit and grape and a little of that dirtyness you would associate with Nelson Sauvin. Light semi dry finish. Very nice pale ale. Hope we get a full IPA with this hop.
Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Pours hazy coper with thin lasting white head. Eaten with stir fry chow mein. Tropical fruit and grapefruit aroma. Tasty in mouth. Good condition. Lovely to be honest and went brilliantly with the food. Touch of gooseberry on aroma. Good white pepper too. Fin (10917) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 17, 2011
Bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury, Kent 16th July 2011, consumed at home 17th July 2011 Pours golden, it’s hazy with some white bubbles. There is a definate cat’s piss aroma on the nose along with wet biscuit, sweet warm mouldering cut leaves and grass left to mulch for a few days. Soft in the mouth, quite smooth bitterness, sweet, soft maltiness, some brine, tangy at end like a watery citrus jam. Fine. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4
