Hazy orange - amber beer, good white head. Light tangerine - orange nose. Light palate, a little airy and with a light touch of dryness. Good fresh hops. Tangerine marmalade with a little Satsuma. Mild grapefruit and grape and a little of that dirtyness you would associate with Nelson Sauvin. Light semi dry finish. Very nice pale ale. Hope we get a full IPA with this hop.
Bottle at home bought direct from brewery. Strong aroma of cat pee, pine, bit of grass and bit of citrus. Pours hazy orange with a nice white foam. Medium bitterness, fairly full bodied with a nice lingering grapefruity sourness. Pretty damn good! Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 20, 2011

Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, light salty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Pours murky yellowish brown with a beige head. Aroma is floral, peach, citrus, orange, juicy hops, rural and grains. Taste is juicy hops, yeast, citrus, peach, minerals and light grapefruit. Mouthfeel is dry. Nice.. phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - JUL 29, 2011
Bottle from Kris Wines. Pours unclear amber orange without much head. Aroma has fresh flowers, hop pellets, fresh peach, sweet oranges, smells a bit organic/mineral, rather rural and hayish. Not what I expected from the Riwaka. Taste is balanced and hoppy. Still the peach, pineapple and orange fruitiness, but the rural qualities still comes through, yeasty qualities being a bit dry and tasting a bit like baker’s yeast. The body is surprisingly thin and it’s really easily drinkable. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 22, 2011
[500ml bottle, courtesy of cgarvieuk] Clear gold pour, big sediment wad in the bottle as with all Kernels. Thin lacing around the edges of the glass. Grapefruit and orange on the nose. Classic Kernel flavour. Yeasty. Citrus. Grapefruit. Refreshing – very moreish. Another great pale ale from Kernel. anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 26, 2011
