Hazy gold amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy. Fine carbonation. Light thin malt cream, semi sweet. Mild floralness and the orange and orange pith hops. Mellow grapefruit. Whisper of something tropical. Light semi dry finish. Very drinkable.
Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours mostly clear, bright gold with a soft, frothy white head that settles into a cream. The aroma gives off a lot of citrus character, some ripe orange, tangerine, a bit of sticky pine, papaya. Light to medium sweet with juicy, ripe and rounded tangerine, some more orange, good balancing pale malt sugars, mild pine needles, minerals. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Well and resinous to finish with tons of sticky, juicy fruits, mostly citrus but licks of the tropical stuff as well, understated piney and grassy bitterness. A typically stellar Kernel pale ale, this one landing more in the juicy/resinous end of the spectrum (as opposed to those Kernel pales ales that are crisper and drier). Delicious and very, very drinkable. Habanero (4771) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - APR 22, 2014

330ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with small to average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Citrusy and slightly piney hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit. Taste is bitter and citrusy hoppy, biscuity malt basis. Dry and minimally grassy and mineral finish, slightly watery. A bit anaemic for Kernel standards. tom10101 (6195) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 8, 2014
Tap @ Craft Beer Co. Brixton (Greater London). Hazy golden/blond with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma is citrusy with malt and light cat piss notes. Taste is also citrus with a decent malt backbone and hints of soap. Light/medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Mild and drinkable, but a tad bland. Probably my “worst” The Kernel Pale Ale so far. AndySnow (7933) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - APR 1, 2014
