Hazy orange beer with a little white head. Light dry palate. Creamy malt. Bitter orange hops, marmaladey. Finishes creamy and soft and dry. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Nice.
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours golden with a slight haze and a white head. Fresh peachy aroma - very tropical. Medium body, sweet and exotic fruitiness. Ends mouthdryingly hoppy. Delicious. 290111 Theydon_Bois (20142) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2013
Bottle at home, from Ales By Mail, 05/11/13.
Pours lightly (by Kernel standards) hazed orange amber with a thiniish off white covering.
Nose is earthy hops, mandarin, peach, toasted malts.
Taste comprises mandarin, light pine, grassy, orange pith, mineral bite.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitterness in the finale.
Solid APA but not Kernels finest, great drinkable affair none the less. harrisoni (18970) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2013
5.2% version. Bottle from the brewery drunk at home. Cloudy hazy dirty amber brown with lasting off white head. Reasonably strong Simcoe aroma. Reasonably firm in the mouth. Some bitterness on the finish. Not exactly cat pee but it does remind me of a very light Weyerbacher Double Simcoe. It’s like lime and grapefruit. Rather subtle, very balanced, poised. Rather good. I like it’s in 500ml too as it gives you more chance to sample it. A little sweetish toffee flavour. rlgk (18851) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 28, 2014
