UPDATED: SEP 14, 2011 Bottle at home in London with Nick. Pours a slight hazy gold with a small, white head. Big juicy, almost tropical citrus nose. Exquisite flavor, great balance, tons of juicy hops, light pine and grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Graceful finish, great balance still, juice lingers. Excellent. UPDATED: MAY 5, 2012 Bottle FROM Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Smells great - a leafy orange fruit hop. That is the taste also. Mouthfeel IS good, though depth is not massive, but THEN again, this is APA, not IPA. Delicious - love the Centennial. I’m sure I also love Super Alpha, but don’t recognise IT yet. In summary, yes. (Orig rating 7th Oct ’11, re-rate 5/5/12. Even more delicious than previously thought. Needs a higher mark. Originally 3.9, now 4.2) harrisoni (19194) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2011
500ml bottle from the brewery. Slightly hazy deepish golden beer with lasting thick off white head. Orange and tangerine fruit aroma with some leafy hop. Soft in the mouth. Good orange tangerine fruit on the finish. It’s an amazing pale ale. God that’s good. I mean really what is Evin trying to do? Only make me like his beer? I haven’t had a duff one. This is another fantastic beer. Another I would want to drink every day. Gorgeous, wonderful and the fruit is just terrific. Touch of earthyness right on the finish. Clear golden beer with gentle carbonation. Sticky resinous and pineapple nose. Cleansing, crisp bitterness and a balancing citrus sweetness. Scopey (15522) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2011
Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours golden yellow-orange with a thin white head. The nose is refreshers, cheesy hop, orange, sweet tangerine and pine. The taste is pine, resin, grapefruit, orange, tangy marmalade, leather and light smoke, with a long, bitter finish. Light to medium body and average carbonation. It’s flavoursome, refreshing and the balance is spot on. This may even be my favourite Kernel pale ale to date!

In bottle. Pours a slightly hazy blonde colour with a thick white head. Lovely aroma of fresh cut green hops. Pine, pineapple and mango hop characters. Juicy orange citric flavour upfront with grass, caramel, barley and yeast. Very tasty although just a little thin. Nice. dantheman278 (1361) - SCOTLAND - OCT 20, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2011 Bright orange amber pour, small white head vanishes completely. Big bitter grapefruit/orange peel nose. Juicy palate, surprisingly fizzy, lots of tropical fruit, orange peel and zesty hops. Surprisingly restrained bitter finish. Refreshing zingy carbonation. Lovely.
