Bottle from Supersave Wines, Westbourne, Dorset. Slightly hazy golden pour with decent white fluffy head, good carbonation and some lacing. Juicy tropical fruit aromas. Taste is full of tropical fruit, light malts with some pine notes. A really great Pale Ale!

Keg at Mother Kellys, 23/01/17. Lightly hazed golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is crisp citric peel, bread dough, melon, tangerine. Taste comprises orange pith, citric sherbets, melon, straw, toasted malts, soft bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough APA.

Craft Tottenham Court Road. Keg. Another elusive Kernel PA! Light haze on this paleish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light semi dry and finely minerally crisp. Thin malts, mildly sweet. Very mild hop skunk. Strong minty pine and sweet floralness that reminds of Motueka. Modest bitterness and mild minerally hop fruits in the background. Prickly carbonated finish. Mild bitter linger. Nice.

Keg at CBC CG. It pours a hazy apricot color with a minimal white head. Aroma is fruity and juicy with oranges melon passion fruit and light dank. Taste is also grassy fruity with notes of danky weed melon oranges apricots. Very juicy fruity and medium clean bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, great IPA

330ml bottle at home in Richmond as ’The Kernel Pale Ale Vic Secret El Dorado’, 5.5%, about 5 weeks since bottling. Pours amber orange, lightly sparkling, pretty opaque in this light, scummy head. Aroma is fairly light with some dried apricot, light peach, sorbet. Body is a little frothy, tingly carbonation. Taste is straw, grassy, quenching fruit sugars, light floral astringency, mixed fruits, not very bitter for a Kernel beer and has quite a short finish for one of theirs. Lots to like here - fruity and balanced, very drinkable. One of those that I’m sure would be your favourite beer in the world after you’ve done 5 pints of it.

On tap at Mother Kellys Bethnal Green. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Tropical fruit aroma. Dirty earthy in the mouth. Finish of earthy tropical fruit. Some bitterness some good tropical fruit juice.
