500ml bottle from the Rake, 19th April 2011. Very hazy orange with no head. Bit of grapefruity hop nose but not that strong. Good orangey citrus flavour. Longering hop finish. Strength is a good compromise between session strength and full-on IPA. EdKing (2610) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 25, 2011
Bottle from Brewery. Pours very cloudy yellow/orange. Nose is pungent hop citrous, grapefruit peel, orange, lemon. Taste is bitter citrous fruit, but also pine resiny, lots of malt and minerally. Quite heavy in taste and body. Scopey (14992) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2011
Bottle at the Draft House Northcote. It pours golden yellow with a thin foamy white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is grassy and full of sweet citrus fruits: orange, pineapple, mango, apricot and peach. The taste is bread, caramel, yeast, lemon, orange, lime zest, some resin, pine, grass and hay. It has a fruity-bitter finish with moderate duration. A very easy beer to drink, sessionable even. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 12, 2011

Bottle 500ml. @ chriso.
Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, peel - grapefruit bitter, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
From bottle on 26 April 2011. Gingery colour. Quite perfumed, leafy hop aroma. Slightly spicy. More citric and piney on the palate. Good firm mouthfeel. Strong bitterness balances the sweetish, fruity hop notes found in many Kernel beers and gives it plenty of grip on the finish. Extremely fresh tasting. Not the most pungent of Kernel beers but it makes up for that in drinkability.

Very hazy amber beer, no real head because I poured it very carefully. Light crisp palate. Semi dry creamy malt base. Mild hops - ie not agressively bitter - there is plenty of hops here! A seamless blend of orange and grapefruit with a trace of apple. Because it wasn’t smacking me round the chops with aggressive hops I could imagine drinking this all night! Very drinkable!
Bottle from The Bottle Shop tasting. Gold with a slight haze. Thin white head. I love the leafy hoppy green sauvignon blanc hop aroma. Stunning really. Ful in mouth with a touch of malt. Finish has good drinkability. Some bitterness. Very decent and really like the aroma on this.
