5.5% bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Inky black with (unusually for a porter) slight orange marmalade flavours followed by chocolate and red fruity and slight coffee on the finish. a_cross (639) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2012
Bottle; black, merest hint of amber at the edges; aroma of coffee and American (?) hops; flavours of fruit, espresso coffee and chocolatey malt; like no porter I’ve previously tasted - much fruitier, faintly exotic; excellent harrisoni (19332) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2011
500ml bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury, This version was 6.8% ABV. Very dark brown/black with thin tan head. Big heavy chocolate on the aroma. Very drinkable malty chocolate beer. Some dark fruits on there too. More juicy than dry. Don’t care if you call this a stout or a porter, but it is really pretty good. That is a really tasty beer. Bottle at home with Drew and Elena. Pours dark, reddish brown with a sturdy, off-white head. Lightly roasted, chocolate malts on the nose. Very smooth flavor, semi-hard malts, light coffee, char, some good roast, mild demerera sugar, slight nuts, mild bitters. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes medium roasty, quite ashy with charred wood, mild malty sweetness, and mild leafy hops. Great beer. AdamLawsonS (26) - - MAR 7, 2012
Pours darkest brown with little head. Smells of sweet chocolate and a little malt. Light and fruity on first taste but with an almost cocoa powder finish. A bit thin but pretty perfect apart from that.

Clear dark brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dusty chocolate, cacao. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Dark brown color with nice thick beige head. Aroma, coffee, chocolate, raisins, nice bitter finish. Nice porter. dantheman278 (1365) - SCOTLAND - AUG 22, 2011
Bottle at BrewDog Edinburgh. Dark brown, reddish highlights, medium beige head that fades to a thin film. Coffee grounds, subtle smoke, tangy red fruit nose. Foamy mouthfeel, smoky and subtle. Some tangy fruit and some cocoa with a slightly spiced finish. Beautiful dry porter. EdKing (2648) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2011
Bottle direct from the brewery. Pours thin black/very dark brown with small beige head. Nose is very good. Strong chocolate and rich coffee. On the deep inhale there’s also roasted malt, caramel and bit of dark fruit, but subtle. Taste is dark coffee, hints of wood, touch smokey with a long black coffee finish. Body is light. A nice simple porter exactly as it should be.
