The best Saison yet from Sir Kernel. Balanced. Crisp. Tight. Like a young buck on the run through a spring field if virgin daisies. Yummy!

UPDATED: APR 25, 2012 Slight hazy, deep yellow. Persisting, white mid head, good lacing. Nice peachy, floral, citrus, wheaty, slight pleasant yeasty, grassy, hint of banana, sweet orange, quite complex aroma, very nice, but not very strong. Creamy palate. Light carb. Fruity tastes. the saison dryness is quite subtle, which i like. Taste reflects the aroma. Soft, fruity finish. Best tasting saison i’ve had from a British brewery.
Also, is it just a statistical fluke that 4 out of the 6 ratings before mine are by Finnish people, or are Kernel just launching an aggressive marketing campaign in Finland? madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2012

Hazy gold amber beer, decent white head. Light crisp palate. Tangy sweetish malt, a little floral. The malt gets creamier. A trace of peach syrup and then pleasing orange - tangerine citrus. Semi dry finish with mild bitterness. Seductive and quite moorish.
Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours a faintly hazy yellow-gold with a soft, white foam head. Big doughy and yeasty aroma with hints of anise and banana. Medium sweet flavor with lightly toasted dough, some dry citrus rind, light grassy bitterness, modest yeast. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry, light sweet finish with further dry yeast notes, light toasty dough, lemon rind, light grass, light citrus tang. It’s very decent, just seems a bit conflicted between being a Kernel APA and a saison. Still, it’s really nice. Gr0ve (2176) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 24, 2012
330 ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour. Herbal nose with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Christmas-like flavours. Yeasty flavours with a grassy bitter finish. Really nice.

0.33 L bottle from the brewery. Cloudy yellow-golden body. Low blond top. Nice spicy and grassy nose with a fresh funky scent. Dryish, light sourish-sweet and spiced up malt flavor. Some fine fruity hop tones too, providing a crisp and clean mouthfeel. An interesting take on a Saison. Very moreish, very quenching. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 23, 2012
Bottle from the brewery. Maybe left it too long as it got left behind when I moved out of the country. Clear pale blond colour with white fluffy head. Aroma is very Belgian, herbal, touch of spice. Maybe lost the hoppiness, but quite doughy, bit of fizz, touch of fruit, slightly metallic, slight creaminess. Taste is nice, herbal again, quite crisp. Bit metallic again, but I am guessing this is the age. Really should have drunk it earlier. Still nice though. Doughy maltiness, touch of fruity bitterness. sjogro (4574) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 17, 2015
