33cl bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras. I love that shop. OK, so you pay 50p more than at the brewery, but then you can buy it every day, instead of just Saturdays and of course, it’s right by where I catch my train into London. Black beer, lasting tan head. Chocolate yes on aroma, but some dark fruits too. Yes, that’s a very good stout, the mouthfeel in particular is excellent. There’s a depth and quality of flavour you don’t always get on other stouts. Yep, a tasty tobacco-ey cigar box quality to it. Yep that’s pretty damn good.
Bottle at home. Pours very dark brown, fluffy beige head. Aromas of coffee, treacle, chocolate, dark fruits, roasted malts, burnt toast. Slight hint of sweetness, but medium-strong bitterness is dominant. Quite thin compared to my expectation. Finish is bitter, burnt flavour, slight alcohol. Not bad, not my favourite though. tderoeck (9471) - Gent, BELGIUM - APR 11, 2014

Clear deep dark brown to black beer, creamy beige irregular head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: some chocolate, caramel, mocha, coffee, cocoa powder, charcoal even. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet caramel start, bit sourish, mocha, cocoa powder and roasted coffee beans, bit fruity. Aftertaste:s oft sourness, mocha, very bitter hops, bit sour, some citrus, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, little sweet, caramel. Very good for a relatively low ABV beer!
330ml bottle from Drinkmonger. Almost black, not much head. Toasted treacle aroma. Roasted glue & grain flavour. Warm toasty wood flavour. Reasonable stout but Kernel Pale Ales are much better. Buongiorgio00 (934) - - JAN 8, 2014
Pours dark brown with fluffy beige head. Chocolate and white toast on the nose. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation. Rich chocolate, plums, cake, dry cocoa finish. Pleasing and sessionable despite strength.

Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, dark roasted, light earthy, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, dark roasted, coffee, dry, light sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
33cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a minimal brownish head. Aroma coffee, rosted malt, smoke, bit watery, brown sugar notes. Taste light sweetness notes, very bitter, lightly sour notes, no alcohol taste at all. Medium body, soft carbonation, long lasting coffee bitter finish. It’s delicious, but not the best stout I’ve ever drunk. vipinvelp (4370) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 21, 2013

Poured deep dark brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma of sweet mocha and caramel malt. Medium body, vanilla smooth, flavour of coffee grinds, mocha. Monchito_IPA (205) - SPAIN - SEP 14, 2013
Muy densa, incluso en su estilo, con una espuma oscura preciosa y persistente. Es una stout perfecta, perfectamente equilibrada, quizás no tan compleja aromáticamente como otras.
