Bottle. Clear copper color with aromas of green olives and pickles. (WTF????) Flavor has oak and olives and I am pretty confused after a few near-religious experiences with Livery sours in the past. This one is an odd duck and about as interesting as they come. That said, pass me a different beer, please. hopscotch (11526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 13, 2016
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2018 Bottle… Pours mostly clear and Longhorn-orange with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Good retention. Freshly poured, the first things that hit my olfactory system is spice-rack clove, dill and maybe some coriander. After briefly decanting, the clove is still there - to a slightly lesser degree – but I can now pick up some raspberry fruitiness and old-cheese funk. Medium to full-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and lively carbonation. The flavor is sour, fruity and bitter – sour cherries accompanied by a slightly lighter level of metallic and tannic bitterness. Finishes sour with lingering, metallic bitterness. This is an odd bird, for certain. No ground clove in the flavor or aftertaste, but boy it’s still relatively strong in the nose, even after decanting. Bottle courtesy of BBB63! Homer321 (5271) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAR 18, 2016
Growler thanks to Brandon. Nose is funky with a ton of fruit. Light leathery. Reddish pour. Like blood red. Minimal white head. Taste is moderately sour. Not too sour really. Light malt. Seems a bit thin. A nice beer but could use a bit of malt mouthfeel and complexity to balance. koleminer20 (4374) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - NOV 18, 2014
From notes. Finally getting around to adding beers from the Ypsi Summer Beerfest! Enjoyed on July 25. This thing is a beaut. The pour is a very reddish pink with a smaller white head and some great lace. The aroma is a blast of raspberry and incredibly sour. The back end offers some good woodiness and a small dose of vanilla. Really good. The flavor is beautifully sour with gigantic raspberry. Much less going on with the flavor, but it’s very good. The mouth feel is great. Lighter, as a sour should be, with a nice carbonation and a beautifully lingeringly fruity sour aftertaste. Just an awesome beer Dfonorow (2358) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2014
On tap at pub. Pour is vibrant pink/red with a small white head. Aroma and flavor of fresh raspberry, oak, sour fix, lemon peel, and barnyard. Sweet body with a tart finish. Good.

Tap at Michigan Winter Beer Festival - 22-Feb-2014. Red amber with small head. Very tart and sour with huge raspberry flavor. Very good funk as well. alliance100 (1199) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 23, 2014
Draft at Hopcat GR - pours a vibrant pinkish/red. Tons of funky barnyard aromas. Flavor is sour fruit with lots of farm aromas. Taste is more funk than sour. Excellent. SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - OCT 10, 2013
On tap at the Summer Beer Fest. This one was awesome. Not quite as good as the Maillot Rouge but still another nice play on the raspberries. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 26, 2013
Taster on tap at HopCat in East Lansing. Mildly hazy darker reddish color, hint of brown. Sort of brick colored, looks cool. Wow, awesome big tart taste. Nice big raspberry and wood flavor to it. Hint of funky cheese. Medium to bigger body. Good light, softer carbonation. More dry finish. Awesome sour ale. A great, tasty change of pace. On tap: The aroma consists of moderate sweet and tart raspberries with a hint lemon. It pours a pinkish-brown with a small off-white head. The flavor starts with sweet and tart raspberry. The finish has moderate sour lemon, light vanilla, and just a hint of must. It’s light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, an excellent and super refreshing raspberry Sour.
