On tap at the Livery. Sampled with bro Keith. Pour on nitro was black with no head, concentric rings. Aroma was chocolate, licorice, plums - all a bit faint. Taste was chocolate, sweet fruits and anise. A bit watery. Finishes weakly. Firkin at Sugar Maple. The beer pours to a radiant amber bronze body with a starch white head and super nice lacing. The aroma is light. Almost like wet fur with a strange grain and plain bitter hops. The flavor is grain laden with subtle notes of cedar wood and dry bitter hops. average palate that leaves my mouth dry. Medium-light bodied.

Cask at Great Taste. I actually preferred this one to the Trippelweizenbock. Pours a murky reddish brown with a wisp of a head. Nose is subtle, English pale malts and caramel come across, along with some distant grassy and herbal hops. On tasting, there is some age in here, some light cardboard and a really nice caramelization. A hint of tartness comes across. Hand-bottled at the brewery: Poured a hazy copper color ale with a rather large head and good retention with some lacing. Aroma of bready yeast and caramel malt is somewhat enjoyable. Taste is unfortunately more dominated by bready yeast then the malt backbone, which I was I wasn’t expecting considering the style. Body is quiet full with good carbonation. On cask at the Livery 8.20.09. Pours a clear darker honey color with no head. Sweet oxidized aged honey aroma, caramel, some toffee, rich and smooth. Smooth light toffee flavor, warming alcohol, whisky-like honey notes. On cask at the livery. Clearer amber with small white head. Aroma is sweeter red fruit with ight spice and richness, some apricot and peach as well. Flavor is sweeter peach and banana with mild pine hops. Medium body with light carbonation. Very nice.
