Nose is raspberry, light charr, dark malt, light cocoa, fruit forward affair. Taste comprises light charr, toffee, pinch of spice, red berry pangs. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok I guess.

Bottle from The Maltings. Pours a dark ruby brown colour with a decent light tan head. Raspberry, chocolate, caramel and a little lemon sourness. Similar flavours with a little Brett to finish. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. I like the dusty Brett linger.

dantheman278 (1365) - SCOTLAND - APR 22, 2012
Bottle at cgarvieuk’s. Dark reddish brown, thick bubbly off-white head. Nice tart fruity nose, touch of cherry/raspberry, touch of brett, touch of stouty roast malts. Unpleasant sour front, touch of roasty malts, big sharp sour raspberry, very fizzy, nasty sharp sour finish. Smelt like a nice sour beer, but that’s obviously not intentional. This is not right.

ChrisOs Easter Tasting. Clear dark amber - brown beer. Big pale tan head. Light dry palate. Minerals. Dry bitterish dark malt - tastes a liitle Belgian in character. Rasperry is just about there, well buried. Mild soap. Bitter dry finish. Hard work. 2.2

Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Mild malts. Dominant tangy raspberry. Light semi dry finish. Much easier going this time around in fact a pleasant fruity stout without being anything approaching special.

Scopey (16223) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 13, 2012
