hotstuff (5177) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 24, 2017
Rated on 10-22-2016 at 800 Degrees Three Fires, Fort Wayne, IN. This draft beer rated at a German event has a very small off-white head that totally diminished, lightly hazy pale yellow body, no carbonation observed, and no lacing. The aroma presents smoke, fruity and malt. The flavor mimics the aroma along with being sweet tasting. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. A very nice tasting beer that is easy to drink and worth trying.

thedm (6224) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 22, 2016
This draft brew from a restaurant poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated slightly hazy yellow colored body and a poor lacing. The weak aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish hoppy aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of dry hops and malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Smoke, crabapple, meaty nose. Hazy amber, headless. Tart crabapple, wood, smoke. Medium body, easy carbonation. Nice blend of flavors that aren’t often found together. Juniper not apparent.

Svesse (8616) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 26, 2016
(Bottle) Hazy, golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Sourish, slightly smoky nose with notes of citrus, lemon, white bread, grass, some smoke and burning juniper twigs. Malty, slightly tart taste with citrus, lemon, unripe peaches, white bread, grass, coriander and a balanced smoke touch coming through in the finish. A light saltiness emerging after a while. Fairly low bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry, rounded mouthfeel. Fresh and interesting. Sourness, salt and smoke in good balance. Quite nice.

Yellow pour, smells and tastes a lot like a campfire. The smoke is not subtle, but not overbearing either. The taste is also quite tart and lemony, with a little spice and salt. Not something I’d go back for, per se, but cool to try.

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into weizen glass. Slightly hazy golden with fluffy white head. Aroma is smoke, medium body, well carbonated, and good big-bubble lacing. Taste is really nice smoke, tart, and some juniper. Nice smoked beer.

Pint bottle. I rolled my bottle and something like a plug of tobacco was loosened. A big white long lasting head. The beer is cloudy, even dingy golden brown. A big smoked and juniper aroma and the smoke grows. The flavor leads with that smoke but there is a lot going on for this style. That spice with earth and salt. A smooth and almost fruit juice feel. I’m impressed with this one.
