shrubber85 (11666) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - NOV 29, 2017
Bottle. Black currant, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Cloudy brown with minimal head. Mildly sweet black currant, caramel malt, lightly sour lactic acid, and mildly bitter/dry red wine and hay flavor. Nice body. Very pleasant.

onceblind (10700) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 27, 2017
Deep ruby chestnut hue with a thin foamy ivory head. Weird herbal malty sweet nose with light fruity esters and ripe apple and a kiss of sausage. Bright flavor that’s malty and slightly herbal with a gentle smokey tartness and lovely fruity ester. Weird but tasty and complex.

Bottle. Pour a deep burgundy-purple with a pink head. Aroma is like berries and grains. The taste is like sour berries. Pretty good beer.

pivnizub (10844) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - JUL 29, 2017
Bottle: Hazy, coloured like old port-wine, long lasting pinkish head; sourish-sweet nose of berries, toasted malt and dry red wine (tannine); moderate to solid sourish-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit tart, but all in all silky MF; lingering fruity-sourish finish with balancing dark malt and a bordeaux-like tartness in the aftertaste. Chapeau...

Look: dark, reddish, opaque, rose thin head.

Aroma: prunes, light wild notes, light smoked notes.
Taste: sour with prominent hoppy bitterness.
Flavour: blackcurrant, bitter almond, tires, hrassy hops.

Very good.

GhostS (527) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - JUN 27, 2017
Aromă acrișoară, predominant prune afumate, coacăză proaspăt stoarsă, suc de coacăză ușor fermentat.

Gust puternic, acru și cam sec, multă coacăză ușor fermentată, pomușoare negre necoapte, puține prune uscate, ceva drojdii.

Bună și plăcut acră.

dnicolaescu (2748) - Chișinău, MOLDOVA - JUN 25, 2017
Sample, BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear deep ruby, sediment, pink head. Distant dark malts, salty rubber, hint of smoked cheese. Bone dry fruity taste, black currant, smoky notes, fruit seed bitterness. Nice.

nearbeer (5636) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 16, 2017
500 ml. no bottling date apparent, but indicates it’s 8% abv and good for 969 years, the same as the biblical Methusalem. Pours a deep mahogany with a purple tint and sports a lasting topping of a creamy mauve film. Interesting aroma with rotating elements of earthy bread, coffee, smoked meat, blackberry and grape. Flavors of earthy smoke, blackberry, cocoa, fig, grape and prickly green herb. Medium-plus body has a fine, smooth medium carbonation and a very drinkable balance. This beer is a great example of why Traditional and Old Ales are my favorite styles: you just never know what to expect and it usually turns out great.

notalush (5930) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JUN 1, 2017
Bottle - Ruby pour with an off-white head - moderately tart nose, with notes of tobacco, tart raspberry, balsamic vinegar, cranberry, underlying brown sugar sweetness - medium body, well-masked alcohol - flavor is less complex than the atoms suggests, but pleasant notes of funky cranberry, red wine, moderate acidity - tart finish, with some red grape tannic character.
