Birthday bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker; thanks to Anke & family!
Pours clear red/orange with a thinning, off-white head. The aroma contains raspberry, some strawberry, bit of iron, lactic acid, 'yoghurt' or 'sour milk' and yeast. It tastes medium sour and light hoppy/herbal bitter. Shortish, tart finish. Light body, watery texture, flat carbonation. Nice to drink, but nothing more.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2017 Donkerbruin met dunne parelende witte schuimkraag. Dadels, pruimen, caramel, kersen, zoetje, zuurtje. Redelijk vlak van smaak, beetje dun. Licht zurige afdronk. Dit zal wel een klassieker zijn in het Duitse bierlandschap maar deze doet mij niet zoveel. Zeker niet slecht van smaak maar deze maakt geen onuitwisbare indruk.

15-08-16 / 500ml bottle. Pours a dark orange colour. Thin foamy head which disappears very fast. Medium sweet with a light acidic sour aroma. somehow watery. Potential for a good Altbier, but it lacks some body.

Bottle share at Canary Wharf as ’The Monarchy Münchhausen Sur Altbier’, 4.5%. Many thanks to Scopey for this novelty. Dirty orange, still, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is thin lemon, squash, papery, mulched paper. Body is light, tingly carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste is more thin squash, lemonade, papery, lager. Just a bit on the thin side for me. (2.6)

Tower 42 Tasting. Thanks to Paul. Hazy dark gold beer, no real head. Palate is light and has a mild fine crispness. Mild malts and modest sourness. Tangy dried fruits. Light finish. A curiosity but not in a good way, pretty meh!

Bottle shared on Level 42 9/3/16. Many thanks to Paul, A dull brown orange coloured pour with a small halo of white head. Aroma is tangy orange musty, airy, dusty, grainy. Flavour is composed of green apple, grainy husks, musty sourness. Palate is tangy, grainy, moderate carbonation . Tangy apple lingers. Not a huge fan of this.

Leighton (23679) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2016
Bottle shared on the 42nd floor - many thanks to Paul. Pours hazy golden brown with a slight, filmy head. The aroma has some lightly toasted malts, hints of lemon. Light sweet flavor with mild acidity, more lemons, bread, tangerine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean on the finish with some toasty cereal, wheat, lemony tartness. Tasty beer.

Theydon_Bois (22312) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2016
Bottle split at the level 42 tasting, thanks to Bropey, 09/03/16. Murky orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is pissy lemon, straw, grain, toasted bread. Taste comprises tangy citric peel, light acidic bite, damp straw, earthy, damp cloth, vegetal notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering effect. So so sour, a touch bereft of character.
