Beautiful big fluffy head that lasted the entire time I enjoyed this brew! Lots of nice fruit that ranged from raisins to lip puckering grapefruit. you can taste the alcohol but it does not dominate. Very well balanced indeed! Had this before the Paleo races in Asti, Italy thanks to a very cool Italian winemaker od Cantine S’ Agata...thanks Franco!

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2017 New SKU at the SAQ. Pours a good amber with a medium white rim that leaves some lacing. Nose is of belgian sugar. Taste is quite sweet but not cloying with some alcohol. Some dark fruits. A bit metallic. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is a bit syrupy. Drying/hot alcohol. Not that enjoyable to me but not really problematic. Just OK.

Birra decisamente dolce, ambra scuro, aroma di caramello, che prevale netto al palato, note di dar fruits. Viscosa con alcol in bella evidenza.

750ml bottle, vintage 2009, shared with friends at Pressklubben in Stockholm. Clear mahogany coloured body with a dark reddish shade. Spotty lacing from a low, beige head. Dried fruity aroma alongside hints of dough and caramel. Taste like a fruit cake with moments of raisin, prunes, caramel and bread. Prolonged finish. Warming, well bodied and smooth in the mouth. Fine partner to our chocolate mousse (24.11.2016).

Prugne, amarene, frutta candita. Alcol molto evidente.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2014 75 cl teku. Pours an Enormous off-white frothy head, deep amber colour. Smells very malty, pleasently alcoholic, fruity, plum, marron glace. Tastes caramel, honey, all malt, dried fruits, bit wood; almost no bitterness. Medium/full bodied, has its own carbonation for the abv, sticky texture. Drinkable for the abv, never gets too sweet. Not outstanding, but has its own balance

3.5
Svesse (8580) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 28, 2014
(Bottle) Nut brown colour, slightly hazy, with brief frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, dark fruit, prunes, raisins, dark bread, brown sugar and a slight touch of oxidization. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, prunes, raisins, brown sugar, caramel, crisp-bread, chestnut honey, chocolate, a touch of ripe banana and a sweet finish with fairly low bitterness and a warming touch of alcohol. Almost full body, well rounded with alcohol in the background. Fairly sweet. A bit one dimensional, but tasty and quite nice.
