750ml bottle, vintage 2009, shared with friends at Pressklubben in Stockholm. Clear mahogany coloured body with a dark reddish shade. Spotty lacing from a low, beige head. Dried fruity aroma alongside hints of dough and caramel. Taste like a fruit cake with moments of raisin, prunes, caramel and bread. Prolonged finish. Warming, well bodied and smooth in the mouth. Fine partner to our chocolate mousse (24.11.2016). Finn (8305) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 17, 2016

A refined beer with good presentation for a super strong beer. Alcohol presented but doesn’t overwhelm. Complex, providing interest and exploration for the palate. Would like to retry with better glassware.
A solid Belgian strong ale but extravagantly overpriced, in these parts at least. This one was cracked at a group rating, which seems the only way to justify the asking price. It’s a sweet concoction, sticky with caramel tones and very drinkable for its hefty 11% abv. Cloudy brown colour with a loose head. Rich toffee notes in the aroma, plus some welcome and unexpected funk. Perfect creamy mouthfeel. Lots of caramelised sugars, sultanas and a long warming finish. Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Very sweet aroma of dried fruits with some alcohol. Solid body, a little low in carbonation, dried fruits, syrupy with a massive alcoholic finish. Definitely better than the ordinary "Super Beer". 100110

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are rich malt, caramel, dried fruits, alcohol and hops. Nice and sweet. CanCrusher (1178) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - OCT 10, 2012
Bottle. Murky dark brown colour with large creamy light brown head and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, apricot. The end of sip is pretty crisped and you can feel alcohol that warms up a little. Aftertaste is nice and long lasting. jookos (7160) - FINLAND - FEB 22, 2013
.75 bottle. Reddish mahogany. Dark malty, candi, yestery esters. Dark fruits, black currants. Body is fullish, a bit sweet. Dark fruits, plums, malts. Yeast. A pretty nice belgian-style darker ale. Even after a quad of la trappe, this is pretty good. Excellent actually.
