Pours a clear straw yellow with a thick, if not too persistent, snow-white head. Crisp, malty aroma has a subtle undertone of fruit. Flavor is malty and crisp, better than what the so-so aroma promised, malty with an overtone of apple and a little pear, a bit sweet with a bitter hoppy undertone. Firm texture has plenty of life and fizz, leaving a fruity and tingly finish. If far from the best Belgian I have had, still a worthy beer. It gets better as I drink it.

Gold, clear, white head. Aroma: grainy malt, spicy yeast note, pilsner malt. Flavor is similar with an earthy, musty, damp-cave note. Gription79 (2890) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Poured from a 330ml bottle. There is an earthy musty quality. This has a very European character to it. Malty, yeasty, earthy. Miked1687 (608) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Bottle into glass. Golden pour with a big foamy white head. Nose is yeasty with hops and some straw. Taste is pretty simple. Bright and clean. Not too strong in any direction. Yeast and mild bitter hops, similar to the nose.

September 2012. Bottle. Caramel and malt aromas. Amber orange color with a tan head. The flavors are spicy yet with some caramel to mellow it a bit. The finish is dry and hoppy. mansquito (6425) - Nueva York, New York, USA - APR 8, 2013
Whole Foods, NY 33cl ($5): Pours an orange/yellow color with a white head. Aroma is mild fruityness and yeast. Taste is bitter, slightly fruity, and a tad spicy. I don’t really see what is so American about this, as this tastes like many a Belgian Belgian ale I had. Not to say that it is not enjoyable though. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - MAR 20, 2013
3/20/13. 11.2oz bottle from Grassroots. Hazy golden orange pour with a small khaki head that fades and laces well. Big sweet malty aroma, almost sugary and caramelly, with touches of sharp fruitiness. Sweet fruity entry with tons of doughy malts, fruitiness, and a touch of sugary sweetness. Interesting. Not bad. harrisoni (18574) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 16, 2013
33cl bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Cloudy amber colour with a very thick beige head that only just fit in the glass. Belgian estery aroma. Bit of a pukey Belgian. Some sherbert hop on finish. Least good beer so far today I guess. Lots of sherberty hop on end is enjoyable, but there is an upfront taste of puke which is not good. Not great.
