3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear reddish dark copper pour with a thin, soapy off white head. Aroma is caramel, tart wheat, under ripe dark fruit and a light funky tartness. Flavor is caramel, tons of raw yeast, light medicinal note, bread, sharp fruity esters and some sweet cereal malts. Medium to heavy body, with a light, but sharp and very blanketing carbonation. Decent I suppose, but one of the poorer attempts at a Quad that I have tried. It got better as it went, the first pour was like drinking the sediment from the bottom of the fermenter where a quad was aged.
Bottled. Old note. The aroma has caramel, bit spice, wine, apples, red fruit. Bit hazy, brown coloured beer with a medium head. The taste is sweet, bit bitter, has caramel, spice, bit wine, bit raisin. Full bodied beer. Ok quad. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2015

Hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry. Modest fine carbonation. Drying and obvious alcohol. Light dry caramel and dried fruits. Pinch of spice. Nail polish remover before a light dry finish. Pretty clunky!
Demasiada canela. Draft - Sweet stone fruit and yeasty. Cloudy copper brown with a decent beige head. Sweet stone fruit and yeasty malts. More like a Belgian string, with little dark fruit and sugars. kbudd19 (1019) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 4, 2014

Poured from bottle into a chalice glass
Appearance – The beer is poured a light brown color with a bit of an orange-amber hue. Upon pouring there is only a tiny white head which fades rather rapidly to leave only a trace level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of dark fruits and malt with the dark fruit being mainly of a plum smell, but mixed with some raisin and fig. The malty aromas are a mix of caramel malt as well as a more bready smell. Rounding the nose out are notes of a yeasty smell mixed with spice of coriander and a strong boozy smell.
Taste – The taste begins big in of a dark fruit sweetness of raisin and a bit of plum backed by some slightly bready maltiness. The fruit flavors from the start have a strong spiced and almost rum soaked flavor. Some other sweeter flavors of caramel meet the tongue soon after the initial taste with a yeasty taste joining as well. Lighter notes of banana seem to permeate their way to the tongue later in the taste along with more strong boozy tastes. The mainly spiced raisin alcohol taste takes the taste to its end where it leaves a nice warming fruity and boozy flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average to lower side in terms of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is on the average side but seems to end on the low side at the end of a taste. This when mixed with the medium body make it a smooth feel on the tongue but due to the slight lower body a better overall feel may have been created via a thicker body.
Overall- A rather tasty beer no doubt. It has big flavors of spiced rummy raisins but is complemented well by a variety of other nice flavors, which all meld together quite well. A nice sipping quad.
