Deep purplish red color. Fairly sour nose and flavor, but the berries and oak do well to also make it softer, and quite complex. Love the boysenberries especially, but they utilize blueberry better than most as well. nickd717 (5149) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 7, 2017
Bottle from the brewery. Somewhat cloudy dark blood red with a small pinkish head. Aroma is loads of dark berries, blueberry and blackberry, some lactic and acetic notes. Flavor is sour, lots of dark berry notes, blue, black, and this berry is boyyyysen! Somewhat acetic and vinous. Lively feel, biting, medium plus body. Pretty nice overall. Bottle to glass. Pleasant berry aroma with subtle tartness. Taste follows with a perfect harmony of tart and fruit. JaBier (8570) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - SEP 10, 2017
Bottle from the Ambassadors of Sour membership, sampled on 9/3/17. Clear red pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of malt, berry and funk. Malt and berry flavor with a sour fruit finish. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - APR 30, 2017
On draft at Caps & Taps. It pours a red/purple color with a small pinkish head. The aroma has big tart blueberries. Lighter sweet notes of blueberry muffin. Hints of woody, coconut funk. The flavor is thick with blueberies. Very sour, but it actually has dialed back acidity compared to most of their other beers. The strong acid actually works with the balancing fruity sweetness. Massive fruit character. Just a bit of funk in the finish. Maybe the best beer I’ve had from Rare Barrel.

Bottle at James’. Pours a fairly hazed ruby and garnet, sparkling with a thin pink head. Big and juicy on the nose, berries and chewy jam on the nose, soft acid and wood. Medium bodied, chewy and jammy. Long acidity, jam and chewy acid. Beautiful and bright. fiulijn (21590) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 20, 2017

Dark ruby color. In the aroma, berries and fart, sour, lemon, wood. The flavor has some berry juice, dry and tart, the mouthfeel is abrasive, extremely acidic, astringent in the final.
Beer with no grace; berry juice and extreme acidity, no complexity.
Pours a purplish red color with no head. Aroma has vivid boysenberry jam with a slight black tea bite. Flavor is pretty similar: strong fresh berries and a bit of an herbal astringency in the end. Very acetic. fiery1 (1888) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 9, 2017
750ml bottle @ Matt’s. Batch 2. Pours a lovely redish purple colour that’s quite opaque with a tiny pink tinged head. Nose is sour acidity. Flavour is a tasty sour berry blend. I can’t distinctly identify the berries but it has a nice balance. Very tasty.
