750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 12/2015. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/yellow color with a small dense white head with decent retention, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, green apple, peach, papaya, guava, melon, berries, grapefruit, orange zest, white wine, wood, tequila, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and agave; with lighter notes of leathery/musty funk, pepper, white vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, tequila barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, green apple, peach, papaya, guava, melon, berries, grapefruit, orange zest, white wine, wood, tequila, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and agave; with lighter notes of leathery/musty funk, pepper, vanilla, white vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness and light yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, green apple, peach, papaya, guava, melon, berries, grapefruit, orange zest, white wine, wood, tequila, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, agave, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, tequila barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance. Light-moderate dryness from lingering tartness/lactic acidity, increasing through the glass. Eventually turning sour and lightly puckering, but never astringent. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic/grainy, and lightly tannic/saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.7%. Overall this is an awesome golden sour/wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, tequila barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, despite the increasingly acidic/drying sour finish. Great well rounded Brett/Lacto complexity and barrel presence, with a solid malt backbone. A really enjoyable offering. bytemesis (8990) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 6, 2016

Bottle shared by jamesy -- cheers! Tart and tasty, with a sharp but pleasant acidic bite, and a light citrusy spritz. Lots of funk in the middle of the finish, as well as some oak flavor from the barrels. Another great sour from Rare Barrel. JaBier (8178) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - NOV 23, 2016

Draft at the brewery taproom, shared with my RBWG bros. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a small, foamy cap. The nose holds lemon and lightly doughy wheat bread, some grapefruit. Light sweet flavour with moderate rindy bitterness, further grapefruit, slight woody dryness. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Drying on the finish, strongly tart, with lemony acidity, more pale wood, lemon peel. Nice beer. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - SEP 6, 2016
750, capped. Thanks, N! Wow! Pours a hazy pale golden amber with a loose whitish head that fades quickly enough. Nose shows a nice variety of notes; greennees from agave, some oak, light funk, a bit of lemon zest. Creamy medium body with moderate carb. Agave, oak, lemon, and a bit of funk on the mid palate. Really lovely. yourilevesque (1829) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 1, 2016
