Pours a murky copper brown from the bottle with bubbly tan head that leaves light lace. Aroma of tart lactic acidity and big cherry notes. Taste follows, even bigger on all accounts with a touch of caramel malt behind. Lingering acidity, mild sweetness, good stuff. bb (10111) - Alamo, California, USA - FEB 18, 2018

From notes. Pour at Zwanze Day 2017 at Jolly Pumpkin on September 23. The pour is a darker brown with a couple sparkles of red through it. There is a light tan head and a couple spots of lace as it fades out. The aroma is full of cherry, skins, and strong funk right up front. There is a light darker fruit and an oak that isn’t awful. It’s a little messy, that’s for sure. The flavor is a little better. The fruits and cherries are nice and tart with a nice funkiness and a hint of pit that works with the oak. I like the flavor of this more than the nose. The mouth feel is medium bodied and lightly carbonated with a fruit and oak on the back end. It was a little sour, but Eric immediately went for multiple Tums. I wasn’t in the same boat on that one. Not too bad. 7 3 8 4 14 ebone1988 (2336) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - SEP 23, 2017
Sample at Zwanze 2017, Jolly Pumpkin. Aroma is wood, dark fruit, sour, funk, good. Appearance is reddish brown, light tan head, hazy. Taste is cherry, wood, caramel, very sour, funk, very nice. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, fruity woody aftertaste. Overall, I like this, though it induced immediate heartburn. Iznogud (5056) - CROATIA - AUG 22, 2017

Tasting at SF’s
Dark brown color. The aroma is sour and earthy. Earthy malts, large vinegar character, overpowering acidity; astringent final.
No real complexity, just acidity. Simple result.
