Grainy peanut hull, dry aroma. Crystal clear, copper medium head. Drier than expected, grainy and malty. Creamy mouthfeel. Wonderful texture, which isn’t a strength of this brewery, nice example of the style. Foxbush (2141) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - OCT 15, 2011
The Red River ale was clear light amber. The appearance was perfect. The ale was thin with not much to interest you. It would be a good beer for watching TV and working outside. No lacing and small head. Finish was smooth with modest carbonation.

Definitely one of the best red ales I have ever drank. It is even more pleasing to sit in this fantastic atmosphere. In other words, don’t grab a growler and head for the door. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUL 16, 2010
