COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditional German Schwarzbier is a black lager that will surprise you. We used a special malt that is dehusked before roasting so the finished beer is light and drinkable with hints of chocolate, but without the harsher roasty flavor of a stout. It makes for one heck of a smooth beer. Winner of the Silver Medal for the Schwarzbier cartegory at he the 2010 Great American Beer Festival!

Cask at GBBF 2010. A pitch black beer with no head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is light.
