pours amber, thin off-white head.
Aroma, roasted malts, thin fruits, yeasty, thin roasted malt scent.
Flavors, light and thin body, malty and roasted, hint of yeast and mild bittering hops. A little too thin.
22oz bottle at the DC local tasting. Pours a clear, copper amber with a creamy, slightly off white head. Aroma is a little spicy, malty but mild, sweet. Flavor is sweet, caramel, cookie dough, malty, light oranges. One person remarked that the finish was tannic like iced tea. Sessionable. I like a good alt, very underrated style. Draft @ the brewpub. Brown color into the pint. Small white colored head. Some spots of lace. Nose of light roast, nuts, and caramel. Hints of pure grain and a dash of hops. You can pick out the German hops, very Eastern European. Medium body with light bitterness in the finish. I liked this brew. It’s a nice example of the style. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2009
Cask (handpump) at NERAX North, Haverhill MA, 7 November 2009. Nice dark copper colour, good condition. Strong caramel and toasty malt character. Quite full mouthfeel. Decent. thornecb (6093) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 29, 2009

very subtle old style alt beer. Close to the german style beer but missing the charm
