Clear dark black - brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, dark roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, plum - dark fruit, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

ChrisOs Kook Tasting. Opaque black beer, thin chocolate coloured head. Smells and tastes of dark malt but with an unfortunate side taste of gloy glue!! Malt is over toasted as well. Sweet gluey finish. A godawful mess.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Nose and taste of baked bread, roast chocolate, smoke and burnt dark malt. Medium body. Dry roasted finish.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, smoke and earthy aroma. Medium to heavy bittersweet roasted malt flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. A deep dark stout with a thick brown head. In aroma, smooth chocolate over expresso coffee. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate with light hops, loads of warming alcohol, not bad. On tap at Boston Beer Summit, Jan. 15 2011.

Bottle at Paul’s for the Blind Stout tasting. Pours a deep ruby tinged brown to black with a thin beige head. Cocoa, thin roast, chocolate, a bit on the thin side of medium. Lots of roast, cocoa, chocolate. Finishes up with a nice roast and cocoa. Decent.
