Pours clear amber tawny with a beige head, good retention and nice lacing. Nose is roasted malts, dates and floral hops. Full in body. Smooth in the mouth. The flavor is malty, but the dark fruit like the dates and citrus/floral hops shine through. Good beer. GRM (4046) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 24, 2015

Pours black with a giant brown foaming head. Aroma is caramel and toffee. Taste is caramel and slight oak with some roast. Not too bad but I fear this bottle was past it’s prime. Boutip (6374) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 18, 2014
Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a super huge brown foamy head (quite a bit of a gusher actually). Aroma of dry caramelized malt with some dry toffee notes. Taste is also dominated by actually quite nice dry caramelized malt notes with some subtle notes of toffee and a generally quite dry finish. Body is about average with too much carbonation. Not too bad for an old ale that was past its best by date by almost three years.

A reddish copper ale with a thick frothy mocha head, gushed like a volcano. In aroma, herbaceous caramel malt with wild hops, light iodine notes, OK. In mouth, a nice tart caramel malt with light grassy hops, effervescent, a bit unbalanced, so-so. Bottle at 2014 Ottawa Xmas gathering. Travlr (24745) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 30, 2014
