COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of our favorites! This English Old Ale is brewed with the best English malts and hops and then aged to give it a deliciously smooth body and flavor. Mild roasty flavors compliment its malty sweetness. Definitely a great one for cold winter nights and to bring home in a growler! 42IBU

Amber in color with a thin khaki head. Sweet caramel and brown sugar are about the only positives here. Maybe a touch of dark fruit. Otherwise, lots of cardboard. The flavor is fairly oxidized and cardboardy, too. A bit of toasted bread along with the caramel and brown sugar. Faint notes of raisin in the background.

A reddish copper ale with a thick frothy mocha head, gushed like a volcano. In aroma, herbaceous caramel malt with wild hops, light iodine notes, OK. In mouth, a nice tart caramel malt with light grassy hops, effervescent, a bit unbalanced, so-so. Bottle at 2014 Ottawa Xmas gathering.
