2016-05-20. Brown body, modest beige head. 3+ Aroma is really interesting, interesting melange of coffee, cocoa and malt. 7+ Flavour has malty core with a very English style impression. Subtle toffee and treacle character. Average bodied palate, soft to low carbonation. UPDATED: JUL 17, 2013 Superb hand pulled at Hashigo Zake. Rich and deceptively strong. A great brew to see through a long, cold winter with warm, strong food. Hazy chestnut brown with thin vanilla white head. Slight redcurrant nose. Tart in the mouth with atouch of licorice. Medium body, low carbonation withsome roast coffee and dark chocolate notes in finish. Pairs well with sausages and caramelised onion gravy.
