4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Fresh 16oz can purchased at the brewery 7/5/16. Pours a frothy, off white, two finger head after an aggressive fill. Color is thick, solid orange you can’t see through. Nose is fresh zest and bitter orange rind with some aromatic hops in the background. Taste is sweet up front as you’re hit with some malt, including a touch of wet oats. Then the hops come out sharpest on the finish after the rush of candied mandarin orange. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. The taste follows the nose strongly and overall it’s a great balance of sweet, malty, and bitter flavors. My rating should end there, but if you absolutely need a comparison it’s like a softer Heady Topper blended with Society & Solitude 4 or a slightly less sweet Julius.

(473ml can from Himmeriget, canned Nov 20) 1mo @ drinking. Pours a murky dark orange with a tiny white head. Aroma is not super strong, sweet, overripe peach, orange, pineapple, a bit tangy. Flavour honestly feels a touch oxidized, a bit thin and papery compared to what I would expect. Sweet malty core with lactose and a little caramel, orange, pineapple, fresh grass, very mineral/tinny astringent sort of feel in the finish. Medium bodied and very clingy to the tongue with almost no carbonation. Perhaps this was not in the best condition but I was disappointed. martin00sr (4795) - Haderslev, DENMARK - DEC 22, 2017
Murky orange-ish. Small white head. Piney, fruity aroma. Overripe pineapple. Pine and pineapple flavour, sweet with nice bitter kick. Has some alc warmth, but seems a little too one-dimensional. MiP (16143) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 22, 2017
Can, 9%. Fruity, rough mango aroma. Cloudy grey dark yellow colour. Very small white head. The flavour starts off very papery. Then comes a distinct bitterness, slightly rough and a brutal hop bite. I like my hop bite, but this is a bit much. Fruity, but rough. yespr (49898) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 22, 2017
