Enjoyed at the Casey tasting at Jeff’s House on April 02. 16 oz can. The pour on this thing is just like the majority of Trillium or Veil IPAs; murky, turbid golden yellow orange with a thicker white head that falls down quickly with a few spots of lace. The aroma is very bitter up front. There is a good juiciness to it, a hefty grassiness, and a lot of bitter hops and citrus zest. This one has a little maltiness to it, but it’s not bad. The flavor is much of the same. There is just so much bitter hop resin and fruit rind. There is a bit of juiciness going on in the background, but it’s overshadowed by the bitterness. The mouth feel is lighter and more softly carbonated with a lingeringly bitter fruitiness on the aftertaste. It’s not bad at all.

Can, by way of a trade. Super murky, pale gold. Slim, sticky, lasting, white head. Nose has oily, green hop. Some lime and lemon. Some vanilla. A bit fusel. Taste is harsh, green hop bitter. Not a lot else by way of balance. It’s a bit boozy and harsh, really. Finishes much the same. Like I always do, I poured out the whole contents of this. I’ve a feeling if I’d not, and left a big pile of gunk in there, then this would have been a different beer. There’s a big disparity between how this smells and how it tastes. Weird.

16oz can sampled at Dan’s. Poured a NE style straw yellow with a small foamy white head. Aroma/taste is full of tropical fruit, pineapple, mango, citrus hops, oats, grass, and some evergreen. Wow

Tallboy can shared at Dan’s. Poured "New England" style. Aroma/flavor is super juicy, loads of fruit, citrus especially lime, mango, guava, vanilla muffin, touch of pineapple. Medium mouthfeel that is a bit chalky with average carbonation. Really nice.
