It is a typical Victorian Pale Ale with an auburn-yellow colour and a persistent froth. Full-bodied distinguished by the fruity scent of its superior fermented yeast. As tradition has it the Theresianer Pale Ale is well balanced and ideal with fresh and persistent flavours.

Bottle at home bought at Vinmonopolet Vika
Golden clear, thin lasting white head. Aroma has yeast, malts and something i will describe as sulfide. Taste is much the same. Full malt body, tons of sweetness, also bubble gum. Finish is not very hoppy.
This beer has stopped me from wanting to try other from this brewery

330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. Dark golden body with a low, bubbly head. Sweet fruity nose with hints of lactose. Taste of half-dried, sweet fruits. Short fruity ending. Lack of hops. Beyond par for the style (shared with Finn, Tromsø 29.06.2011).

Biggish offwhite head doesn’t last. Coppery body with small-bubbled carbonation. Malty grassy aroma with fruity earthy herbal notes. Dry-sweet buttery grainy strawy taste with herbal earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, faintly slick mouthfeel. Dryish earthy vegetable aftertaste with grainy minty notes. This is a pale ale? Tastes like normal eurolager to me. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle (33cl) from Vinmonopolet (Vika), Oslo. Clear, pale golden colour. Inch-thick offwhite head that quickly reduces to a thin ring, no lacing. Dusty hop aroma with some alcohol sweetness. Medium body, average carbonation, slick, drinkable mouthfeel. Taste has initially a good malt/hop balance, but is soon replaced by an excessively sweet and alcoholic mid-taste. Slight bitterness in the finish.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Looks like an amber lager. Some dirty hops in the nose, but not much. Sweet, sugary body, too much white sugar. Not working as a pale ale.

0.33l bottle. Pours a clear golden body with a nice little bubbly white head. Aroma is on the sweet and malty side with notes of thin watery hops. Body is medium, texture surprisingly nice and smooth and it’s average carbonated. Quite grainy flavors and has a good sweetness from all the malts. It’s also light peachy with lots of nice caramel and quite low on the bitterness. Finishes off with a mild pungent finish and a longasting malty aftertaste with notes of some alcohol. A quite nice pale if you ask me.

ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 21, 2011
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a clear deep light amber body with a small white top. Aroma is faint tones of pale malts and slightly fruity hops. Weak. Taste is sweet pale malts, hints of molasses and syrup. Near-cloying sweetness and total lack of fruit makes this a poor pale ale in my book. Moreover, it tastes, smells and looks more like a lager beer to me; very little is reminiscent of a classic English ale, at least. Boring and too sweet, but not foul or undrinkable.

average frothy off white head. good lacing. mostly diminishing. clear thin dark yellow body. aroma: moderate hoppy, citrus orange. if and ff: light bitter sweet; average duration. palate: medium body, watery texture, medium carbonastion and metallic finish. amargor frutado, quase puxando para toques azedos, saborosa mas aquém do potencial do estilo. 25 s
