COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each time you pay heed to its recherche flavour it takes you back... to Pilsen, a city in the Czech Republic not so far away from Bavaria, where it originated. These are places where for centuries two-row barley, with its particularly fine husk, and Saaz hops, with their subtle aroma, have been cultivated. These are what constitute the backbone of this beer, whose uniqueness transports the senses with its balanced, distinctive aroma, leaving other beers behind.

A pale, light beer whose distinctively dry flavour culminates in the fresh accents of malt and hops, the signature note of the Pilsner tradition.

Editor’s note: it seems that 75cl bottles get here, even if "unfiltered" is not written on the label, and draught Pilsner goes to the regular entry.

Hazy golden with a big and lasting white head. Herbal hoppy aroma with a touch of bready malt. Sweetish malty flavour with fruity and herbal notes.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2014 Old rating, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Frisk fruktig lukt med preg av lys malt, humle, høy, korn, maling. Tørr lett beisk smak med preg av lys malt, humle, høy, korn og ugras. Litt metallisk. Middels bitterhet og lengde. Kjedelig!

toffeeslot (119) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 10, 2012
Pours a hazy straw yellow. Aroma is of vegetables, corn, stale bread. Head quickly disappears. Taste is quite crisp, with slight bitterness. A very short finish. Thin mouthfeel. Only OK.

Foffern (1877) - Bodø, NORWAY - APR 27, 2012
Bottle at home. The colour is straw-like, and is a bit hazy, with a medium white head. The aroma is both sweet and fruity, and with some hay, and it reminds me of a little bit of a british golden ale. Sweet flavour of pale malt, sweet corn, hay, and citrus. Light bitterness and feels somewhat watery in the mouth and is pretty thin. Very little aftertaste, and appears a little weak throughout.

Cunningham (7865) - Halden, NORWAY - APR 15, 2012

750 ml bottle. Pale golden body with a big, foamy white head. Mild aroma, actually more neutral than the filtered version. Light malty aroma. Flavor is refreshing fruity, bread and moderate bitterness. OK pilsner without anything special.

Flaske 0,75l. Medbrakt av Rune og delt med ham under sammenkomst i Skibotn 16 Sep 11. Veldig lys. Høyt kremaktig skum. Litt pepper i nesen. Søt maltsmak med litt frukt. Søtt helhetsinntrykk.

larsga (7509) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 4, 2011
Big offwhite head. Hazy paleish yellow body with light carbonation. Sugary yeasty floral aroma with mealy raisiny notes. Dry floral bready taste with grassy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish, mealy mouthfeel. Dry grassy floral aftertaste with herbal dandelion notes. Surprisingly sharp bitterness in aftertaste. A bit odd, and not as fresh as one could wish. Too much bread. (0.75l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)
