COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ales are traditional, highly fermented and very distinctive. This Strong Ale with a deep amber-red colour is produced only with first choice malts which give it a characteristic sweet taste. Rich in creamy froth it leaves a pleasant aftertaste of hops. It is a typical strong beer and can be best enjoyed with strong and sharp flavoured food.

Ha un sapore dolce, accompagnato da sentori di liquirizia, frutta secca e caffé. Corposa, di colore ambrato carico.

Bottle, 8.5% at KØ16. Caramelly and sweet aroma. Clear light amber colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is caramelly with a rough bitterness and some marzipan. A decent mocne, I guess.

Bottle, [email protected], Kolding storcenter. Pours clear dark golden with a small, staying creamy white head. Aroma has sweet malts, apples, vinious, light caramel. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite oily mouthfeel. Flavour has sweet malts, caramel, apples, pear wine gum, light vinious. Mild bitter and quite warming finish.

maekchu (4069) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JAN 7, 2016
Bottle from local Yamaya store. Lightly spicy nose, dark fruit and caramel, and some fumes. Very dark copper/amber color, light tan head. Malty initial, slightly herbal, a bit vinous and plummy.... but not all that pleasant. Medium-heavy body. A lot of alcohol in a very moderate flavor and body. Seems like a doppelbock.

Pours a clear amber color, topped with a relatively small off-white head. Malty aroma, caramel is easily picked up as is some alcohol presence. Taste is sweet and malty, again some caramel and alcohol with some medium bitterness in teh finish. Full and silky, but not exactly what I prefer.

Bue à la pression. Bière mal équilibrée. Très maltée, alcool trop présent, arômes de whisky. Pas terrible.

On tap @ Haus Garden Gallarate. Ramata carica, riflessi rubino e ruggine. Schiuma beige abbastanza fine non molto persistente. Aroma di caramello, frutti rossi (ribes), vaniglia e zenzero. Poco tostato. Gusto abboccato, poco amaro, decisamente acidulo. Si ritrova tostatura ed un sottofondo di frutti rossi. Caramello nel retrolfattivo. Rotonda, piena, calda. Equilibrata ed abbastanza armonica. Forse un filo troppo acida.
