COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classic auburn-red lager descends directly from the first "Vienna" produced in Trieste at the beginning of the Twentieth Century. It maintains its smooth, fresh, simple taste together with a cleverly weighted flavour of malt and hops. Because of the simplicity and balance of its aroma this light red beer is perfect with all kind of food.

rickgordon (3874) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 11, 2007
Bottled. Delirium Café, Göteborg. Dark copper colour. Good malty aroma with notes of butter. Diacetyl is most evident in flavour with a fair touch of maltiness. Body is medium.

maekchu (3847) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JAN 7, 2016
Bottle from local Yamaya store. Nose of light roast malt, caramel, and light brown sugar. Clear medium copper color. Sweet malt, bready, a touch of sourish fruity tang in mid palate, and it finishes lightly sweet and then fades fairly quickly. Thin-medium body. Easy, simple, caramelly.

Metalchopz (3364) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 10, 2014
Enjoyed in a bottle at Pub Italia. Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a creamy warm cap, average retention and no lace. Big bread nose at first pour, then fruity malts appear. Fruity malts with caramel and a short finish. Wet mouthfeel but gets tarty, lingering. Surprisingly good looking for an Italian Vienna and well-brewed overall.

andrepintado (3323) - Lisbon, PORTUGAL - JUN 29, 2012
Bottle from el corte ingles, lisbon, portugal. Red amber color. Thin to medium head. Medium carbonation. Low sweetness. Malt, herbs, light caramel aroma.

Davros (3132) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 1, 2011
Pours dark amber with a large, fading head. Nose shows lots of caramel and melanoidins. Pretty good stuff. Very similar flavours but a cooked vegetable character creeps in which detracts from the sweet malt. Nice light body and moderate carbonation.

bergstaden (2925) - Rřros, NORWAY - OCT 2, 2011
light amber with white head - nice malty aroma - good malty body with some caramel in the back, that lingers for some time - nice

3.9
Embrouille (2852) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 20, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 28, 2008 Bottled 33cl. It pours a nice light amber coloured beer with a rather quick diminishing white head. Dominating aromas of caramel, some nice hops, bread and hay-like elements. Lots of caramel in the taste which is rather sweet and malty. This beer has a good mouthfeel. Sweet malty finish. There’ s nothing really interesting about this vienna, it’s just a decent brew. A bit boring. RERATE. (additional comments): Very pleasant. Hints of peanuts. Wonderful candy-like components.
