Named after our favorite go-to “backyard” Hiking/MTN Biking area, this traditional English-style pale ale is anchored by Maris Otter pale malt. Imported hops are used to balance out the drink-ability- (yep, it’s a word). You don’t have to “hop across the pond” to get fresh English-style pale ale- you just have to hop over to Third Street.

"two pale ales here, this - the english version - and a far more vibrant american pale. this one just didn’t hit the spot. muddled malts and not much hop character save for a little bitterness. their weakest brew."

Homer321 (5142) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JUL 16, 2014
Draft at brewery. Nose is slightly grassy with some lemon. Prett inviting. A bit of yeast character. Overall ok. Hops seem to be muted in the flavor.

Keg at Third Street Aleworks, Santa Rosa, 28/04/14. Clear golden with moderate off white spotting. Nose is pale malts, citric leanings, orange peel, toasted bread, light hops. Taste comprises bitter orange, light caramel, floral hops, light perfume. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, light hop bitterness in the close. Easy drinking affair but ultimately dull and muted in comparison to other beers in this style.

Draft - Grassy earthy hops. Pale gold with nice white head. Grains, pale malt and some light earthy hops. Light bitterness with a bit of orange and a clean finish. Much too mild for an APA but a good drinkable ale nonetheless.

brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 9, 2014
On tap @ Third St Aleworks. Clear orange pour with a white head. Malty aroma. Lots of bread, dough, and toast. Some orange, vanilla, and floral hops. Flavor is moderately sweet and malt forward. Lots of bread, dough, and toast. Mild bitterness on the back end. Decent floral hop character.

Descent piney grass aroma. Fairly clear. Upfront bitterness. Good for a hot summer in Satna Rosa at brew pub. Good brew

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Tap at the brewpub. Clear orange pour with a small foamy white head. Earthy, slight pine. Slightly dry. Just okay.

Gription79 (2891) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - AUG 6, 2013
Had on draft at the brewery. Caramel malts, citrusy, malty, spicy, floral, hint mint, fruity, bready. Great little brewery.

hackobock (4063) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 21, 2013
On tap at brewpub on 062013. Clear amber with a small white head. Aroma has sweet caramel malt and light floral hop. Taste is sweet malt with a light bitterness, a bit bland and with the low carbonation it goes down easy but does not leave a lasting impression.
