JulienHuxley (5886) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 7, 2016
Sample on tap at the brewpub. Brown pour with tan foam. Aroma is really roasty, burnt grain aroma, lots of oatmeal. Taste is smooth, roasty, grainy, light sweetness. Palate is med-light bodied, light-med carbonation.

3.3
b3shine (9027) - Indiana, USA - FEB 1, 2016
Draft to taster at the brewpub. Looks good; a translucent dark cola with foamy beige head that slowly but steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt, coffee roast, and dark chocolate (in that order). Tastes like it smells with a fairly bitter presence from the roast. Some pinwy hops on the tongue as well. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and on the silkier side, presumably from the oatmeal. A solid example of the style.

monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 14, 2015
A nice oatmeal stout overall. Pours a beautiful deep red black color. Smells of oatmeal and vanilla. Taste is very milky and smooth, with some vanilla and coffee. Not the most complex however. Tasted at the Black and White Beer Ball for SF Beer Week.

"very nice oatmeal stout here. quite smooth with a bitersweet roasted coffee and chocolate flavor and aroma. one of their better beers if not their best (the apa was quite good as well). "

Draft at brewery. Nose is string chocolate and a moderate roast character. Some bitter chocolate. Stains shirts. Otherwise ok.
