Bottle at the beerbistro. Hazy caramel pour, with alot of sediment, and a big frothy head. Aroma is very fruity, and yeasty, stone fruit, and pears. Low bitterness, fruity, yeasty finish, a tad too sweet though, lacks crispness and drinkability due to very high carbonation.

Very weird beer, strange smell, hazy pour, flavour is spiced like cardamom, lots of yeast and a bit of subdued funk. Herbal and earthy, very dry, I loved this.

33cl bottle. Hazy golden with a thick fluffy head. Aroma is hoppy, floral, spicy, belgian yeast, peppery. Moderate sweetness with a long bitter finish, that is maybe a bit rough. Reminds me of De Ranke XX bitter in a much less extreme way. Average carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Overall great saison. I do not undestrand the low ratings, especially compared to others like Dupont Saison.

Well it does certainly have a fine head and good foggy gold body that no one could complain about, unless they like crappy beers, and I myself like to think I don’t like crappy beers. The aroma is a lot of yeast with a hint of coriander, European to be sure and I’m not sure where all these hops are they go on aboot but nonetheless the aroma is great since it brings back memories. Flavour is a great mix of European yeast and hops with a dry finish. Great mix on this one, slightly dry and floral but not specifically so. Balanced, intriguing, and a good sign that French beers are moving in the right direction.

Cimbasso (1056) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 16, 2016
Sampled from a bottle purchased in Paris. Hazy orange-gold colour with a good white head. The aroma is of ripe banana, and the taste is an interesting mixture of grass, citrus and banana. Medium bitterness. Quirky and delightful.

Bottle. Pretty good. The taste is fresh, hoppy, and citrusy. The beer looks nice and hazy although the head is a bit funny.
