Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of straw, hay and a touch of malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hay and a bit of sulphur. I had it presented as an IPA, which I dont think it is.

Bottled. Hazy golden in colour with rich, fine head. Flowery aroma. Softly malty with funky yeastiness and medium body. Average bitterness. Like an English bitter made with Flanders yeast...

Bottle at Churchkey, shared with staff. My 100th saison rating, and also the last beer I shared with friends before jumping on the plane to Belgium. This one was a classic farmhouse beer, cloudy dark yellow, white head. Aroma of pine, hay and straw. Taste is dusty lemons and barnyard. Very nice.

Bottle. Gold beer with lasting white head. Hoppy citric slightly sour herby aroma, more citrus hoppy in the mouth. Herbiness continues through to the nice herby almost vegetal finish. Extremely interesting with excellent flavours

Bottle on sale @ Wades Wines. Fucken a. Hazy straw pour with a big white head. Oh wow is this skunky. Grass, floral hops, and citrus peel. Some yeast, dough, and a bit of bread and biscuit. The flavor is fairly skunked as well. Grassy and floral hops. A touch of citrus, yeast, and sweet dough, biscuit, and bread.

Cloudy golden colour. Very fresh hop nose is foresty and herbal. The taste is again big fresh low cohomulone hops and a dash of yeastiness. Despite the boldness of the hops, they are soft enough to blend well with the big yeasty palate and clean but quite sweet pale malts.

Sampled from bottle @ De Molen 2nd Tuesday Tasting. Clear golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, nicely hoppy, nicely bitter. Not really what I had expected from a saison but its a nice beer.

750 ml. bottle/$10.59 at Monument in Concord, CA. Hazy orange tinged gold color with a many fingered head. Aromas of light stone fruits and spice/yeast. Very creamy carbonation with a thin to medium body. Starts a bit funky, but with a nice level of floral hop. Decently bitter. Develops something like a peach tinge - at least some kind of ripe stone fruit. The head laces about, and the flavors develop. The finish is decently dry, decently bitter and very flavorful in an earthy/fruity/hoppy sort of way. In the end is hop. Not NW DIPA, not APA, just really nice hop. This is just excellent stuff.

Bottle. Poured cloudy yellow color with an average to large frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate herbs, citrus and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium spice sweet flavor with a medium spice sweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a friend.
