330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Hazy golden-orange body with a moderate white head. Aroma is quite herbal and grassy. Flavour is herbal as well, with yeast and grain notes, caramel, subdued fruits and a nice nutty finish. Quite a good one.

Gusher. Amber with I head that takes up most of the glass. Aroma is caramel, doughy, and a light sourness. Taste is caramel, light pale maltiness showing, a hint of smoke, light hoppiness. Besides the over carbonation, it was terrific.

Hazy amber color, good sized white head that had a long hang time then faded slowly to leave a decent lace behind. The aroma was hoppy with a decent malty side and a bit of band-aid or somethng that is kind of funky. The flavor was another surprise.Nice malty taste with a good hop showing some citrus and caramel and a nice smooth feel all around.Pretty decent brew and well worth trying again but there fairly pricey at $12/bot

Appearance: clear medium amber with one finger of fluffy ivory head, good retention and patchy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: somewhat muted, caramel/toffee malt, dark fruit, spices, light earthy funk. (6/10) Taste: moderately strong sweet, mild bitter, light tart. (6/10) Medium body tending a little to the watery, lively carbonation, off-dry finish. (4/5) Not bad, but not as well done as their Étoile du Nord. (Though, to be fair, I enjoy saisons much more than ambers, so personal preference is probably a factor there.) The lighter, somewhat watery body and lively carbonation are a bit at odds with the darker malt sweetness and winter spices. They call this a "Bière de Garde," but the labels of “Winter Warmer,” Christmas Beer,” or just plain “Amber” would probably all work just as well. (13/20)

Bottle. Pours a hugh head that stays, very cloudy amber appearance. Smell is crisp with a fruity essence. Taste is full flavored with a slight carbonation feel and smooth aftertaste. Refreshing during the summer and goes down smooth. Good farmhous ale. Cheers!

Bottle. Deep amber colored, moderately opaque with lots of neat little floaties in suspension. Great big ole’ light khaki head composed of varying sized bubbles. Good lacing. Aroma is much more on the sweeter and maltier side than the other Thiriez beers. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation that dances across the tongue and palate. Malty and slightly drying. Residual malty sweetness in flavor with a pleasant earthy hop bitterness towards the finish. Nicely done as are the others sampled from this brewer.
