Danke an den Doppelbock für das Bier! Recht milder, etwas fruchtiger aromatischer Geruch. Minimal fruchtig etwas herb und relativ mild schmeckt das Bier dann auch, wobei mir der würzige Nachgeschmack am meisten zusagt.

Beautiful orange-amber color, with a high carbonation that produces an extreme perlage, very nice to see indeed, and a persistent head. There is subtle and nice aroma, of malt and leafy hop, maybe some traces of good yeast. It has a medium body, where the malt is not so much present (maybe there has been some overfermentation and the sugars are too much reduced); it has a light residual sweetness, coming in later, and a light but pleasant mix of hop and yeast. Simpler than the Blonde, but pleasant. harrisoni (19534) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2014

Amber red, floating fine yeast. Steady cloudy head. Grassy and fruity lemony nose. Crisp, grassy, a bit alcoholic flavor. Some caramel and sugars also can be tracked. Quite "Belgium" ale, not French or a bière de Garde at all.
Bottle - Brown sugar, malt and some yeasty sourness. Cloudy amber with particles, foamy dissipating head. Very dry and dusty, an lack of body makes this just ok for me. Mild spices and a vanilla note does peek its head out. Benzai (16918) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 28, 2011
Color is nice, dark and a little red. Smell and taste are off. Spices in the smell. Taste is a little sour. Not very good in my opinion. Dedollewaitor (16543) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2010
Bottle @ Local Tasting, Nov 2010. Pours cloudy amber with a large fluffy head. Nose is tart orange fruit and yeast. Brett, fruit and a bit of caramel. Pepper and spices. Medium bodied. Overcarbonated. bhensonb (15963) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 28, 2008
75 cl bottle from BeerGeek. Hazy amber color with a three finger beige head. Aromas of spice and light citrus. Nearly full bodied with coarsely creamy carbonation. Flavor is "brown" malt, with a hint of coffee, and lots of light, but not stone, fruits. Lots meaning many kinds, not lots of fruit. The mouth tingles. The finish seems reasonably balanced. What I thought was coffee, not seems more like cola. It just won’t settle down. It is a really enjoyable beer.
