Quack-Duck (9486) - Down South, GERMANY - JUL 30, 2013
0.75 l bottle from saveur-biere. Chestnut-oak brown colour, fluffy and airy beige head. Sour nose with woody hints. Medium-bodied, malty with caramel and a pleasant sourness, not as intensive as in Flemish sour ales like Rodenbach, yet of the same character. Very pleasantly balanced, not offensive but with its very own character. The carbonation is interesting and unusal - low in the beginning, but the beer foams up in the mouth and transports the complex flavours into every corner. All in all, an unusual, very interesting and delicious ale with a wild character (reminding me of Lithuanian farmhouse ales).

Brown with a small off white head. Woody and perfume tones. Malt, wood, vinous and spices. Medium body with a dry after taste.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2013 14/V/13 - 75cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a - Millésime 2012 (2013-475) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy brown beer, huge beige aery head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very soapy, shampoo, floral, weird. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, red fruits, pretty soapy, bit unpleasant. Aftertaste:s lightly sour, very soapy, some liquorish, green apples, citrus, floral, fruity. Not my cup of tea.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2014 750ml bottle #0734, bottled on 20/10/2012. Starts to rush out as soon as you crack the crown. Pours a deep and dark ruby red with a large, frothy dark beige head. Leaves lacing. Aroma is a lot of lavender perfume. Somewhat oaky, a bit cherry and balsamic vinegar. Taste is quite sour, a lot of the lavender perfume on the flavor as well. Some oakiness and balsamic vinegar, a touch of red berries. Oak is stronger on finish and aftertaste. Quite light, could be fuller or stickier and the carbonation is very aggressive, too much.

Bottle. Hazy brown color, small white head. Aroma of light spice, vanilla, port. Taste is sour dark fruit, sharp finish.

thornecb (5948) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - APR 28, 2013
Pours deep mahogany into a tulip. Off-white fills the glass to the rim. Perfume lavender aromas. Dry with sweet perfume and pit fruit upfront. Dry, abrupt oak finish.

erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - APR 28, 2013
Deep brown body and surprisingly creamy and big tan head. Funky, bready and humous malts, balsamic vinegar. Very nice to find this from a French brewer. Fairly active body, well drinkable with complex taste profile. Unique style, especially for the origins. Rich ending. (75cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

JefVerstraete (3418) - Oosterzele, BELGIUM - APR 18, 2013
Millesime 2012. Strange beer. Dark brown colour, a lot of foam. Very lively beer, a lot of carbonation. Smell of chocolate, brown sugar, dried fruits and candy. Earthy and a bit sourness. Not bad, but i did expect more body.
