On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear cola brown with a thin tan head. Soft roast, a bit of cocoa, chocolate. Medium-bodied, but thins out a touch due to the nitro. Soft roast into the finish, char and dark malt. Roasty bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub. Opaque black coloured pour with reddy hues, and a steadfast light tan creamy head. Aroma is ashy roast campfire, toasted malts,, little coconut, background berry note. Flavour is composed of smooth roasted malts, creamy coconut, light ash, roast, light tangy berry. Palate is slightly thin, creamy, smooth, little watery. Lingering smooth roasted barley. Decent.

On tap @ Thristy Bear Brewery, San Francisco - CA. Color: deer dark black beer with no carbonation and small brown head. Smell: sweet roasted malt. Black bread and caramel notes. Taste: medium body, easy drinkable with roasted malt and caramel balance. Not so hoppy finish. Very sweet nice beer. Aftertaste: caramel, licorice and sweet roasted malt. Small coffee finish. Maybe too sweet for a stout.

Wauw, ruikt naar een chocolade reep. In San Francisco in de brouwerij vd tap. Ziet er ook uit als mooie stout. Donker, met vol schuim van ongeveer een pink. Smaakt als vloeibare chocola, lekker :)

Pours an opaque dark brown with a frothy, cream colored head. Muted roasty aroma. Long lasting bitterness with coffee flavors. Light bodied. Enjoyed with the Smokey Blue cheese pairing.
